Safety Insurance Group, Inc. has joined forces with the non-profit group Safe Roads Alliance, Inc. and the driver training and education center In Control Advanced Driver Training MA LLC, to improve driver safety in Massachusetts. The program has been designed for new teenage drivers.

This program gives  your new teen driver some very valuable classroom and hands on driving safety practices that are just not taught in the regular drivers education classroom.  (Adverse road and traffic conditions etc.) This is one day program and usually runs all day – classroom and driving.

Advanced driver training includes:

    – How to do a panic stop.

    – How to use ABS brakes

   – How to control a skid

   – The effect of speed on control

   - The dangers of tailgating

   - How to handle a highway emergency

  - The dangers of distractions

The cost of this whole day program is $299  but Safety Insurance will pay 70%  of that cost so you end up paying only $75. Keep in mind that upon completion, you will get a 5% discount on your auto policy when your teen driver is added to the policy or gets his or her own policy , so you will make up the $75 cost of this program usually the first year.

Keep them safe … they NEED this advanced drivers training!
